RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019: After conducting the largest recruitment drive of Group D and Group C posts in the year 2018, Indian Railways is once again poised to accomplish the recruitment drive to fill vacant positions in the national transporter. The delay in issuance of the RRB NTPC Admit Card and Exam Date 2019 has created confusion among aspirants. Notably, the official notification for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 was released on February 28, 2019, and the RRB NTPC 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) was expected to take place between June and September this year, but the RRB failed to came out with any update, therefore candidates believed that the admit card will be released in October 2019, according to media report.
The delay in issuance of the RRB NTPC Admit Card is reportedly due to in-house issues because of the large number of applications, and also because of the RRBs currently being involved in other recruitments. The RRB received 1,26,30,885 applications to fill 35,208 vacant positions under NTPC for both graduates and non-graduate posts in various zonal railways and production units of the Indian Railways.
Prior the Lok Sabha election 2019, the Narendra Modi government had announced that Indian Railways will hold the recruitment for 3 lakh vacant positions of various categories in different departments. The Railways reportedly received around 5.09 crore applications for a total of 2,83,331 vacancies across various categories since 2018.
In the wake of high number of applications this year, the RRB is taking a lot of time to scrutinise them. This is said to be the reason behind delay in the announcement of admit card as well as exam details.
Notably, the examination for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 will be held in two stages– Computer-based tests and skill test. Those who will qualify these two stages will have to undergo a medical test. The selected candidates will be called for verification of their documents, and then the RRB will announce the final results on the basis of merit.
